Tribal Group has been awarded a contract by LSC Nottingham
to deliver the hugely successful Creative Launchpad project to the creative
industries in Nottingham City Objective Two wards in throughout 2006 and into
2007
Community Launchpad is proud to launch a new training course
geared specifically toward people who are just starting out in business, whether
that be having and thinking through an idea for business, or having just registered
with the Inland Revenue. Watch this space for details about the dynamic and
exciting sessions planned for October 2007.
"Community
Launchpad" project will target individuals
from disadvantaged communities and individuals with an interest in starting
up their own business, particularly those facing barriers to entering the labour
market. Through the creation of a working business environment these individuals,
with innovative business ideas, will be helped to get into self-employment.
It will utilise innovative use of e-learning and delivery mechanisms that are
flexible and take into account the needs of the target groups.
Community Launchpad is mainly aimed at supporting individuals
that wish to set up creative, cultural and/or community sector companies, however,
it is not limited to just those sectors, we can in fact help anyone start up
any type of business.
Tribal Regeneration has been awarded a contract by LSC Nottingham
to deliver a programme of support for individuals in the community to gain the
necessary skills to realise their entrepreneurial potential throughout 2006
and until December 2007.
The service
Both the Creative Launchpad and Community Launchpad projects
will provide:
Initial Advice and Guidance
Assistance in starting up enterprises
On going business support
Business Development Consultancy
Business Training
Support for networking events
Regular news updates on funding, training, events etc.

Partnerships
Creative Launchpad and Community Launchpad has established
a number of partnerships with existing organisations that are active in the
delivery of support to the creative, cultual and community sectors. In particular
Broadway Media Centre, Creative Collaborations, University of Nottingham, Nottingham
Trent University, Nottingham City Council, LSC and many more. We want to further
enhance those relationships by working closely with representatives from Partner
Organisations to ensure that Creative Launchpad can:
compliment existing provision
signpost beneficiaries to more suitable provision where required
assist in the overall development of the creative industries
in Nottingham and more broadly in the East Midlands
It is expected that Partnerships will be from public funding
bodies, training providers, funded projects, educational establishments, charities
and community and voluntary sector organisations.
