looking to gain a recognised training qualification or who have relatively little
training experience. Held over three days, the course includes the opportunity
to practice your newly developed training skills in a comfortable environment
with supportive and constructive feedback. It is ideal for anyone who needs
to understand the basics of training practice or wants to refine their training
techniques. It encourages a flexible approach to training delivery which takes

The Art with Purpose project brings together three professional
organisations from three sectors; the private sector, the public sector and
the charitable sector, to deliver three individual but intrinsically linked
projects:
Birmingham City Council will be providing training opportunities
for artists who want to work in Community and Participatory Arts (starting
in Autumn 2007)
Arts and Business will provide support to train Artist Facilitators
working in Business (this aspect of the project has now finished)
Creative Launchpad will be delivering Professional Trainers
Award (running throughout 2007)
This project is about enabling creative individuals to deliver
effective workshops in whatever sector they choose to work in.
The Creative Industries as a whole offers unique learning opportunities
for the private, public, community, voluntary and educational sectors to develop,
enhance, learn and live with creativity at the heart.
This can only happen with creative individuals who have the
capacity to enter into these sectors with the appropriate skills to plan, prepare,
deliver, facilitate and provide the appropriate service.
As an outcome of this training, participants will develop their
skills to successfully apply their art form in participatory and workshops settings,
in what ever sector they choose to work in.
