Starts: January 2005 - December 2006 Outputs: IAG, Clients into self employment Description: This projects aims to support new business owners and individuals
seeking to become self-employed or develop current businesses within the Interactive
Media for Education and Entertainment Sector in any ERDF Objective 2 core or
transitional ward across the West Midlands where there is no identified alternative
and in particular 'encouraging and developing enterprise in our disadvantaged
communities'. In so doing, it will provide a programme of tailored business
support and professional development specifically for creative media practitioners
and businesses. We actively reach out into communities where there is a high
proportion of minority ethnic individuals and offer them a real chance to engage
with any of the creative industries depending on their aspirations. Current Status: Outreach Offices active in Coventry, Wolverhampton, Sandwell,
Dudley, West Bromwich with further offices planned in other areas of the West
Midlands.
