Images Stirring Memories Fri 8 Sept – Thurs 19 Oct
A documentary photography exhibition about the lives of the people of Blakenhall, Wolverhampton. Concentrating on the diversity of employment in the area, the exhibition features portraits of shop owners, factory workers and the people of Blakenhall by photographer Nelson Douglas. Exhibited alongside the portraits are beautiful landscape images of the area by local students; from rolls of colourful material and shop fronts to terraced houses, the images capture the character of the area as well as the people.
