EXTREME FILMS: NEW RESEARCH NEEDS YOUR HELP
A team at Aberystwyth University is researching audience responses to some of the most explicit and controversial depictions of sexual violence ever to reach British screens – and they need your help. The study, which is being funded by the BBFC, aims to get beyond the press debates, and find out what real viewers think and feel about five films: À Ma Soeur, Baise-Moi, Irreversible, Ichi the Killer, and House on the Edge of the Park. Visit //www.extremefilmsresearch.org.uk to find out more, and to take part in the online questionnaire. The team will also be holding a series of group interviews about the films during August and September. If there is sufficient interest, some of these could take place in Wolverhampton.
